July 15 - Day 6

Today is a sea day. I woke up well before Matt. Wasn’t planning to buy Cellular at Sea today but I went up to the Lido, read my email, got caught up on the news and had a latte.

Came back to the room and both of us showered. Went to Line Dance again. Lots of fun and lots of steps we’ve never done before. The ship has brunch today so we went to the Dining Room. So much good food! Interesting people at our table again. Everyone was from different places in California. Lots of good conversation.

After Brunch, we walked the Promenade for a while. Headed up to the top deck to play some Pickleball. We got one game in with a young woman and a young boy. It was quite fun. They left after one game though. I wanted to try and get some exercise in so Matt hung out and drank iced tea and watched the waves while I did my mobility program and got some weight lifting in.

Afterward, we decided to try some Pickleball again. This time, it was all men. I wasn’t up for that experience. Matt played several games. I watched a while and then went inside to blog and read my book.

We walked the Promenade some more and then headed in for dinner.

Dinner was so enjoyable. Sat by a woman who was a breast cancer survivor and enjoyed my conversation with her very much. We also had an 89 year old woman at our table who has over 350 sea days with Holland America. She was widowed twice and remembered being torpedoed in a passenger ship during World War II when she was five. Quite a woman.

We watched Disco Fever on the World Stage after dinner. Fun. Great day and time for bed! Tomorow is a sea day.
